Allison Beardsworth

Allison is a member of the Deh Gah Gotie Dene First Nation. Her educational background is in Social Work (BSW, Dalhousie) and Dispute Resolution (MA, UVIC). She joined UBC Vancouver in 2020 in Enrolment Services in a role focused on removing barriers experienced by Indigenous students. In February 2025, she was appointed as Director of the Office of Indigenous Strategic Initiatives (OISI) to support faculties, units and departments across campus in the implementation of the 8 goals and 43 action items in the UBC Indigenous Strategic Plan.
